Portable engines: Richard Garrett & Sons
Description
It was purchased near Parma in the late 1980s and fully restored in 1988. This machine spent long periods of time working in the area of San Giovanni in Persiceto and Argelato (Bologna, Italy). It was mainly used for threshing rice and wheat plants.
When it was purchased, the original boiler was in good condition and so were the mechanics.
The tubes and chimney were repaired and, since being restored, only minor maintenance work has been carried out and it is now in perfect working order.
