Since the early 1980s, Franco Risi has made room and time for his great passion: restoring vintage steam engines.

This activity took place entirely in the warehouses that are currently part of the museum complex. 
Below are some of the machines that Franco, drawing on his extensive expertise, was able to restore to their original condition.
It is apparent that all this work was done, more or less entirely, using old methods in order to restore the machines as faithfully as possible.
